Summary:The Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing technical support to NGA/STM’s Print on Demand (PoD) and the NGA Intent-to-Publish (NIP) database as well as systems administration, software administration, domain administration, and system security for the Forward Based GEOINT – Geospatial Services/Computer to Plate (FBG-GS/CTP) product generation system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Perform full system upgrades and repairs (Linux and Windows)
Troubleshoot and repair operating system (OS) and hardware issues as needed
Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery
Troubleshoot network and software issues as needed
Install software releases and upgrades on Linux and Windows (monthly)
Train customer on proper usage of software as needed
Manage all software licensing information
Evaluate and install security patches (IAVAs).
Create and ensure operation of Active Directory and DNS
Administer the Print on Demand (PoD) and the NGA Intent-to-Publish (NIP) database
Create accounts and set up user specific access
Acquire system accreditations
Conduct audit and log reviews
Ensure personnel comply with system security policies
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Experience withdeveloping and testing production ready reports
Experience with implementing logical and physical data modeling concepts
Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server
TS/SCI clearance required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server
Attention to detail and quality of work
