AutoVIN, Inc. Vehicle Inspection Specialist - Kansas City, MO - R-237097 in Belton, Missouri

Reporting to a Field Inspection Manager, this role supports the KAR Global businesses and customers by inspecting vehicles for condition, wear, tear, neglect, missing parts, mechanical issues, previous repairs and damage/structural damage. Complete required vehicle inspection promptly and accurately including imaging and uploading results of the vehicle condition. Interact with dealers and consumers as needed professionally as the face of KAR Global and its collective businesses. Responsibilities and Duties:Communicate in a professional manner with customer (dealer or consumer)Resolve any customer inquiries in a friendly, courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidentsEnsure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attentionInspect vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair or structural damageComplete inspection of vehicles and ensure adherence to the defined program for the customerCapture data accurately on a mobile device, work comfortably with software and technology.Deliver results in a timely mannerCollaborate with Field Inspection Manager and sales team members on customer needs with insights to improve services providedMaintain equipment and tools properly and advise manager of any needed equipment maintenance or breakdownEnsure vehicles are in clean condition with radios, seats, mirrors and other convenience items in the same position as when the vehicle arrivedSubmit completed condition reports using the appropriate technology made available to you to complete the vehicle inspectionComplete road test if required by contract or inspection typeKeep current on technology updates, new releases and product developmentUnderstand the functionality and ability to use tools such as paint meter, OBD scanner etcPerform floorplan audits of automobile dealerships and equipment dealers, as neededEnsure floorplan inventory is physically present or otherwise accounted for by working with the customer and their respective documentsPerform inventory reconciliation and reporting of audit results, if necessaryDevelop and maintain knowledge and expertise in areas of competitor productsOther duties as assignedAttributes we believe to be critical-to-success:Integrity, Detail Oriented, Self-Directed, Self-Starter and Motivated, Technologically Savvy, Service First -Oriented, Adaptability, ResilienceSkills a successful Vehicle Inspector Specialist will possess:Critical Thinking / Problem Solving, Organizational Verbal and Written Communication, Accountability, Customer Service, Tech Savvy, Mechanically Savvy, Time Management, Relationship Building Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience / Knowledge of the automotive industry preferredMust be qualified, and able, to operate different types of motor vehicles and possess a valid driver's license with the appropriate levels of insuranceConfident working in a technology focused environmentTravel100% Travel within territory; Physical Requirements:The physical activity requirements of the position are Light Physical Work. Visual acuity requirements include depth perception and field of vision. Frequent sitting, walking, driving and traveling. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting. Potential rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations.Physical Working Condition:The work is completed at customers home, place of business, dealership and/or at auction, this is not in a home office and is not located in a standard office environment.
