The Boeing Company Senior Chemical Process Specialist in Berkeley, Missouri
We are seeking a Senior Chemical Process Specialist (Level 4) to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) organization. This position is located in Berkeley, Missouri.
This role supports our St. Louis site/programs. You will lead critical process activities across three tank processing lines and support the on-site waste water treatment plant. You will also provide leadership within our regulatory compliance, high hazard operations, and company committed Safety goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Shares and coordinates best practices, process safety information and command media
Leads site teams managing changes to chemical processing systems
Ensures the mechanical integrity of the equipment
Ensures enterprise wide training programs are provided and deployed
Develops, maintains and deploys hazard analysis, risk assessment and process safety management tools for risk mitigation
Evaluates significant incidents, process hazard analyses and proposed correction actions
Leads incident investigations and root cause analyses
Leads risk assessment teams, independent reviews of new construction or renovations for chemical processes at multiple sites
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree
More than 5 years of experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years of experience developing and implementing process improvements
More than 5 years of experience with safety processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment
Specific degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemistry or other related engineering/science discipline
Industrial hygiene and general safety experience
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Written and verbal communication skills
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
