Holcim (US) Inc. Plant Controller in Bloomsdale, Missouri
To provide Financial Control, Reporting, Analysis, and Oversight for one or more Cement Plants. Support the management structure by providing clear and accurate financial results and analysis to enable the local management to make informed financial decisions and plans, while also ensuring compliance with company and statutory financial guidelines.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Prepare financial and operational reports and analysis to support the business decision making process.
Provide advice and counsel business unit and executive management on the financial consequences of business decisions.
Responsible for collecting, analyzing and compiling data from all accounting functions necessary for monthly reporting.
Coordinate, support and manage the regional budgeting, forecasting, and planning process.
Actively participates with corporate finance and other Controllers on initiatives to improve processes, develop new financial system applications and upgrade existing applications.
Provide corporate finance with information necessary to support corporate level analysis and bench marking initiatives.
Direct the development, preparation and maintenance of various financial and operational plans and reports.
Develop and implement control systems to ensure compliance with company financial policy and statutory requirements.
Educate management and staff on financial processes/policies and the financial impact of business and operational decision.
Focus on cost controlling and reduction initiatives and ensure that unfavorable variances are addressed in a timely manner.
Other duties to assist Finance when needed or required.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
Highly visible role within regional business providing financial support to regional senior management team.
Acts as deputy to GM at times, confidant to GM.
Finance & Controlling covers all areas of the business and therefore needs to interact with all aspects of the regional business.
Close liaison with Regional & Corporate Finance team.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Accountancy or Finance
Required Work Experience: 5 years, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry; cost accounting experience a plus
Licenses Preferred: CPA/CMA/CFA or MBA with emphasis in Finance or Accounting
Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office, SAP, BPC, Oracle/JDE, Google Suite strongly preferred
Travel Requirements: 20%

Financial modeling experience in Excel and in Planning Programs
Experience in the cement or aggregate construction materials industries is preferred
