TitleSOFTWARE ENGINEEROverview of PositionThe Software Engineer will help design and develop the Communications Service Layer that provides the necessary services that are critical to key initiative aimed at omni-channel communication platform focusing on delivery channels like email, SMS, IVR and so forth. This is being developed as a cloud-based service. This position requires a good understanding of enterprise cloud best practices, regulatory compliance, and customer persona(s). The ability to learn new technologies, integrate them with existing enterprise management tools and compliance frameworks, and the skill to leverage them to the maximum extent is a key component of this position. We are striving for maximum compatibility with current health care products and services as well as new cloud enterprise technologies and best practices.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Selecting appropriate Amazon cloud services to design, develop and deploy an application based on given requirements

  • Designing, Developing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on the Amazon Web Services Cloud

  • Designing and developing enterprise-wide serverless applications on AWS Cloud Platforms and integrate with on premise solution to support printing outcome

  • Design develop highly scalable automated test suite to verify software product

  • Deploy infrastructure and applications using continuous integration and distribution pipelines

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 8+ years of experience in software solution development and at least 3 years of experience in Java enterprise solution development

  • BS In Computer Science or Information Technology is required

  • Experience in application development in an AWS environment utilizing AWS services is required.

  • Experience in NoSQL database application development is required

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Proficiency with Java 1.8 (Lambda, Stream)

  • Proficiency with Rest API

  • Experience/Proficiency with AWS Services such as SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch

  • Proficiency with Docker

  • Proficiency with Groovy

  • Proficiency with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot)

  • Proficiency in SQL based database application development

  • Proficiency with Agile Scrum SDLC

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools/processes (Git/Maven/Jenkins/SonarQube/Jacoco/Junit preferred)
