Leggett & Platt, Incorporated (http://www.leggett.com/) is seeking a Master Scheduler at our Branch One location in Carthage, Missouri. You will provide support for all aspects of Production Scheduling, while also providing support to the Branch One Mission and Vision. This position works closely with the Branch One Leadership Team to ensure the plant is ran as efficiently as possible, while meeting customer demands. This role may require occasional overtime and travel.

What you’ll do

  • Participate in developing manufacturing input to the Sales and Operations Planning process.

  • Manage an attainable master production schedule. Monitor the consistency of the production plan, execute policies for time fences, safety stocks, subcontracting, and lot sizing by utilizing ORS and Inventory Management tools.

  • Strive for continuous cost reductions in all areas of responsibility.

  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts on material and capacity availability and order promising integrity.

  • Work closely with sales and marketing (Demand Manager) to satisfy customer demand.

Sales and Operational Planning (SOP)

  • Participate in S&OP process.

  • Involved in production budgets by department for branch.

Production Scheduling

  • Generate weekly production schedules for designated departments.

  • Coordinate changes of machinery or product line, which affects weekly production schedule and coordinate with Material Manger for raw material requirement changes.

  • Maintain item‐planning data.

  • Track performance to schedule and schedule stability.

Purchasing

  • Assist Purchasing Agent with all resale items within company for this branch.

Minimum qualifications

  • Intimate knowledge of the manufacturing process used by the company.

  • Product familiarity, including the product structures.

  • Good understanding of MRP logic.

  • Good computer skills and the ability to work with numbers.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to exemplify a cooperative attitude necessary to work with all department and management teams.
