Biologist

Biologist – Intermediate

Our Client is looking to hire a Biologist to join their dynamic team! As a Biologist you will studies the basic principles of plant and animal life and the effects of varying environmental and physical conditions such as radioactivity or pollution. Also study reactions of plants, animals, and marine species to parasites, bacteria, pharmaceuticals and chemicals

What it takes:

  • Experienced applicants (e.g. Bachelor’s with experience, or Master’s level) with degrees in one of the following or closely related fields are encouraged to apply: Genetics, Plant Biology (Physiology or Molecular), Biochemistry, Plant Breeding, Crop/Plant Science, Seed Biology, or Plant Pathology

  • 2+ years’ experience and an-depth knowledge of weed biology and herbicide modes of action Familiar with herbicide traits and products in soy, corn, cotton, and canola.

  • DNA and RNA technologies such as PCR, genotyping, extraction, sequencing, detection, RNAi, and gene editing as well as plant tissue culture.

  • Experience in plant systems is preferred, but not necessary.

  • Good written and oral communication skills are required for notebook documentation and summary presentations.

  • This role will be expected to work within a cross-functional team as well as interact with colleagues in other organizations.
