Aerotek Greenhouse Technician *$14/hr* Entry* in Chesterfield, Missouri


Will be responsible for all aspects of plant care and plant production primarily for herbicide efficacy trials. Regular tasks include irrigation, fertilizer mixing and application, tying and staking plants, moving plants per protocol, GH sanitation including cleaning irrigation trays and floors. This person will also be thinning plants, transplanting, and possibly assist with various propagation activities as well as implementing plant care protocol requirements for research trials. We frequently conduct seed increases for various weed species and we often need to clean and process self-produced seed, in addition to field samples that come in for herbicide resistance screening. This employee will also be required to document completion of scheduled daily, weekly and monthly tasks. One last regular day to day activity will include handling and discarding of regulated material and proper waste disposal stream for varying requirements for disposal.

Basically responsible for All aspects of plant care-irrigation / fertilization, greenhouse maintenance and sanitation, plant propagation tasks, documentation of greenhouse tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have at least 6 months of greenhouse/horticulture/plant care experience

*Really would like to see propagation experience on the resume if they have it

Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred

2+ years' experience working in a team setting or as part of a fast-paced group dynamic

Experience with regulated materials, Monsanto experience helpful (experience with herbicides is a plus!)

Must have PASSION for plant care and horticulture
