Aerotek Protein Biochemist: Pays +$20/hr in Chesterfield, Missouri

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualifications Required Education and Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree

Candidates also need to have of 2 or more years of experience in one of the following:

  • Protein Sciences

  • Analytical Chemistry

  • Soil Chemistry

  • Agronomy

  • Biology or a related technical field

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral)

  • Attention to detail and results orientation

  • Agility to work on multiple projects and flexibility to meet business objectives

  • Candidates should be able to work within a team, take direction and show initiative Desired Education and Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with protein, antibodies, immunoassay, protein purification and determination is preferred

  • Experience with ELN and other electronic systems * Knowledge and/or experience working in an industrial setting

  • Familiar with quality management systems

The Regulatory Product Characterization Center is currently seeking a contractor to work in the Analytics Technology Platform. The Regulatory Product Characterization Center is a fast paced, timeline driven, team-based scientific environment that requires researchers to contribute at the individual level on group-based projects, delivering high-quality, GLP-compliant results in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will work closely with researchers on a cross-functional team that performs the testing and assessments. They will perform:

  • key protein characterization

  • antibody screening

  • characterization and purification

  • immunoassay development and validation

  • Western blotting

  • Analysis of protein expression levels in plant tissues.

Their time will primarily spent in the following activities:

  • Designing experiments

  • Troubleshooting

  • Running assays

  • Antibody Assessments

  • Quality Control support
