The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a CNC Machinist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Setting-up and operating CNC lathes that are machining chest pieces for stethoscopes
Performing adjustments, tool changes, and preventive maintenance to assure proper operation of CNC lathes
Performing all required sampling, testing, and inspection in order to meet product requirements
Gathering and monitoring data on the process to ensure process control
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a Technical degree or higher in Tool & Die Technology OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with Tool & Die in a private, public, government, or military environment (completed and verified prior to start)
Experience operating CNC machines in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience in a highly regulated industry
Organizational and time management skills
Self-directed and detail oriented
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation Assistance: not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
