Kelly Services Material Handler in Columbia, Missouri
Now hiring qualified talent for entry-level Material Handler positions in Columbia, MO. No manufacturing experience required! The Material Handler is an entry level manufacturing position for the production team. The Material Handler plays a key-supporting role in the production line/process, being a safe and productive employee and packing and aiding in the making, preservation and shipping of products.
PAY RATES
1st Shift - $15.00
2nd & 3rd Shift - $16.00
SCHEDULES
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
QUALIFICATIONS
Follow safety, food safety and GMP practices beyond regulatory needs
Daily operating activities for producing finished goods while maintaining a safe, high quality, productive manufacturing environment
Responsible for specific production equipment based on training provided
Support management in development and process improvement activities
Assist with the overall cleanliness of the facility by sweeping, gathering trash, and other janitorial duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in Food manufacturing preferred
Excellent comprehensive and communication skills, while performing individually in a team environment.
Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts
Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high growth work environment
Mandatory overtime is required on occasion, which can include some weekends
Ability to understand and follow rules of safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
Teamwork and a positive attitude essential to maintain a culture of cooperation and respect

Attention to detail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to repetitively lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
Repetitively exert the required force to push/pull gaylords of differing weights (400 to 1200 pounds) while walking utilizing a manual pallet jack
Must be able to crouch/stoop/squat/bend as needed to complete tasks
Warehouse and production manufacturing environment within the Columbia, MO plant
