Aerotek QC Chemist - $17 To $18/hr in Harrisonville, Missouri
IMMEDIATE HIRE! ENTRY LEVEL!
Conduct daily batch and physical testing for manufacturing operations, using standard chemical analysis according to established test procedures.
Operate laboratory computer, analytical test instruments and systems, including trouble-shooting and calibrations as needed.
Communicate appropriate batch adjustments to Processing staff to ensure product integrity according to specifications. Troubleshoot batch issues with Processing staff as needed.
Conduct line audits as needed.
Perform incoming raw ingredient comparisons to standard and / or compare COAs to the specifications and verify quality of received components.
Document and maintain test results, procedures, logs and specifications using appropriate data or file maintenance system.
Communicate effectively with internal customers and vendors as needed.
Sustain good laboratory practices for the safe and proper handling of chemicals.
Ability to effectively interact and communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Good organizational/time management skills are required.
Communicate finished product and raw material defects, such as being Out of Specification, to the appropriate HV personnel according to the SOP. Ensure corrective action is initiated, including Hold process and WMS (Warehouse Management System) status.
Support Six Sigma program initiatives and testing related to analytical and inspection testing. Obtain Yellow Belt Six Sigma certification.
Assist with updating quality lab documents, procedures, manuals and files.
Support R&D corporate program initiatives pertaining to laboratory functions including Trials and specification reviews and approvals, as assigned.
Create, review, and approve Certificate of Analysis for specific WIP and Finished Goods.
Work flexible schedule as needed
Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access required.
