Senior Configuration Management & Data Management Integration Engineer, Hazelwood, MO

The MQ-25 program has an opening for a Senior Configuration Management & Data Management Integration Engineer to lead the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Tools, and Processes team. This person will work with a cross-functional team of Product Data Management (PDM) Engineers, Process engineers, Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to support the St. Louis-based program during its initial development by administering legacy PDM tools and process set as well as leading the eventual go-forward transition to Digital Enterprise tools and BDS/Enterprise common processes. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the existing toolset and processes, maintaining continuity of service for existing tools, and helping to transform the design and manufacturing activities currently in use to operate in a digital enterprise environment. The successful candidate is expected to leverage expertise in current engineering and production processes and tools to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the go-forward PDM systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic guidance and expertise for the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products.

  • Strategically leads the definition and application of new methods and technologies for product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.

  • Leads the analysis of highly complex product trades and/or changes.

  • Represents the Company in the development of industry, national and international Configuration and Data Management standards.

  • Strategically integrates the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements.

  • Provides strategic direction in the development of new and innovative methodologies for interface management of complex products.

  • Leads and directs the development, integration and implementation of engineering technical program plans.

  • Works under consultative direction.

  • Leads the PLM, Tools, and Processes team

  • Administration of existing PLM tools and processes in support of the MQ-25 program's development activities

  • Engaging with program engineers to anticipate and resolve issues in ongoing development activities

  • Participation in the development of process and tool requirements for transitioning existing program activities to common digital enterprise systems and identification of gaps in both processes and tools.

  • Engaging with program engineers to anticipate and resolve issues in preparation for the PDM system transition.

  • Planning and coordinating PDM system transition activities such as data migrations, data validation and system testing.

  • Will become an additional Subject Matter Expert of the program’s data and configuration management tool (Teamcenter) under the mentorship of experts.

  • Oversee and coach producers of data regarding our configuration management release process including change request generation, version management, help with setting up workflows, addressing findings, etc.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship . An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

  • 3+ years' experience on a configuration management (CM) team and/or working closely with a configuration management (CM) team

  • 8+ years of either Manufacturing Engineering/Configuration Management/Production Engineering

  • 3+ years of Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years As-Designed/As-Built Experience

  • NDIA Configuration and Data Management (CDM) professional certification

  • Experience with functional and physical configuration audits

  • Experience working with US Government agencies/USN as a client

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
