This role in the Center of Excellence for Salesforce at American Express Global Business Travel is a great opportunity to grow your Salesforce knowledge by working on a wide array of topics and functionality while revolutionizing business travel & the contact center environment!

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution design & architecture to find the right balance of code and configuration

  • Discuss and understand application dependencies

  • For software engineers

  • Programming to deliver high quality solutions in APEX

  • Review the code for coding discipline practices and encourage team to contribute towards development/usage of reusable components

  • Taking technical ownership of your own deliveries

  • Uphold delivery schedules & compliance policies

Expect your time to split roughly into these time commitments

  • Functioning as a core member of an agile team driving user story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software applications (55%);

  • Being a developer assigned to a specific vertical of the enterprise Salesforce platform. which includes consulting with the product owners to design solutions, providing estimates and timelines, reviewing designs with the rest of the platform developers for overlaps (20%);

  • Being a member of the platform maintenance function, maintaining a list of security issues, platform issues, applying patches and certificates, managing code loads, version upgrades and replications (10%);

  • Ensuring quality of software delivered for the commercial functionality by doing code reviews and coordinating the response to defects (10%)

  • Conducting evaluation of app 3rd party integrations for the commercial functionality (5%)

Key Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or other technical discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience

  • At least one of these key competencies & accompanying certifications :Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQIndustry, Conga

  • Proven experience developing with at least 3 of these languages :Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, HTML, CSS

  • Possesses Enterprise development experience.

  • Excellent communication skills

Additional qualifications

  • Integrations and external applications Understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Expert knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns.

  • Knowledge on REST and SOAP web services

  • Experience with database design and implementation.
