Service Asset & Configuration Management Analyst
This position is based in Kansas City, MO. Occasional telework option, but must be within commutable distance from customer site.
Responsible for the following tasks:
Support all lifecycle IT Service Asset and Configuration Management activities. Utilize a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to account for (record, track, monitor and update) all IT Assets and component configurations, all subsequent component configuration changes, licensure and Item Unique Identifier (IUID).
Provide accurate information on configurations.
Provide a sound basis for Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management and to verify configuration records against the infrastructure and correct any exceptions.
Conduct quarterly HW and SW audits IAW HCS P/WIs and provide reports on the accuracy.
Provide updates to existing technical documentation packages to accurately reflect changes to configuration items.
Ensure backup and recovery capability of configuration and asset management systems and data in the event of data loss or a major business disruption. Work Service Request tickets (i.e. Change Requests (CRQs) and Incident tickets (INC)) timely and accurately daily, and associated tasks daily.
Complete actions in support of change requests to create or update CIs, and ensure attribute data and relationships to other CIs are accurate.
Review incident records requesting CMDB update, prepare respective change records to coordinate and implement the update activity.
Provide advice for out-of-the-box reports and dashboard indicators and to utilize BMC Remedy Service Management Suite, Smart Reporting, Analytics and dashboards functionality to provide key reports and metrics.
Provides technical support services necessary to install, configure, patch, troubleshoot and administer BMC Atrium CMDB and BMC Discovery for Multi-Cloud.
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
Active/Current DoD Secret Clearance, US Citizen
IAT II Certification (Sec+)
ITIL Foundations Training or experience required
ITIL Intermediate or Configuration Management certification desired
Senior: Candidate must be of a senior level and have expert experience with BMC Remedy Service Management Suite, Analytics/Smart Reporting, BMC Atrium CMDB, and BMC Discovery. Desired ITILv3 2011 Intermediate certification. Understanding of data mapping concepts (relative to CMDB data import and uCMDB/CMDB integration).
Salary Minimum: $74,692.80 Salary Maximum:$159,681.60 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees.
