This company is looking for hardworking and dedicated employees that will have great attendance and want to grow within this company. This is a 2nd and or 3rd Shift inspector role in Kansas City, MO.*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*- Read and initial work orders to verify knowledge of stacking pattern, bag count per pallet, box size, etc.- Retrieve corrugated box tops and bottoms if necessary and assemble enough to keep the following shift in operation for two hours as not to interrupt work flow- Pull hands of bags onto the inspection table and inspect by flipping through bags, looking for open seams, split gussets, bad print, etc.; set aside a hand of good bags at the beginning of an order or when needed to replace defective bags or those periodically checked and torn down- Stack bags flat and wrinkle-free in a neat and uniform manner according to specification and discard any bags of inferior quality- Assist other inspectors by sweeping, stacking, and in reclaim when all work in the area is complete- Assist with record keeping as required by management- Keep floor free from obstructions, bags, and other materials, and sweep and mop floors as needed; keep the general work area clean- Pull out and set aside bags that can be reclaimed, and complete reclaim by the end of shift- Ensure the quality label gets put on the pallet by the operator; help if necessary- Notify the operator first if there is a continual problem; if necessary, stop the machine and call the Process Leader, Quality Auditor, or another member of management over to the machine in order to fix the problem*Requirements:*- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)- Stand for the entire shift (up to 12 hours) with repetitive tasks- Walk for majority of shift- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds- Lift, bend, and twist while carrying the product- Basic computer skills; data entry and retrieval- Basic math, reading, and writing skills- Ability to carry out instructions furnished either written, orally, or in diagram form- Hand-eye coordination to perform major tasks of the position- Ability to read and understand a tape measure
