Bonaventure Realty Group Interior Designer in Kansas City, Missouri
Position Summary:
Bonaventure is seeking a dynamic and success driven individual to develop interior design concepts on large complex multi-family and commercial projects. As an interior designer you are proficient in conceptual design with technical interior expertise in a solutions-based design environment and are comfortable working in a fast-paced setting. The Bonaventure Design Team works in a collaborative environment and you will successfully conduct coordination efforts with the internal team along with consulting partners. What You'll Do:
Comprehensive knowledge in developing and presenting an interior design package from inception to construction. Including FF&E budgeting, product selection, specifications and product detailing
Assists the Director of Design in presenting information to the client and maintaining client criteria along with daily management of all client-related issues
Responsible for accuracy of all interior design and concept-related elements. Produces redline construction documents to ensures accuracy for any projects issued
Ability to translate design concept to a deliverable both in 2D and 3D. Comprehensive knowledge of construction documentation and technical detailing required
Collaborate and lead the design/production team through all phases of design: SD, DD, CD and coordination with our internal CA team to meet project goals, milestones, and schedules
Thorough understanding of cost budgeting and responding to construction related issues in a timely manner. Candidate will be expected to work directly with our vertically integrated team in all aspects of the project: Construction Administration, Estimating, Construction, and Operations
Mentors and collaborates with associate interior and production staff by providing knowledge-based guidance
Who You Are:
Bachelor?s in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA accredited program
NCIDQ a plus
Minimum 8 year's experience in an architectural firm on large scale projects is required. Experience in Multi-family is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Sketch Up, Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to answer phone, listen and speak with callers and other staff members
The employee is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
May require prolonged periods of sitting for use of the computer and for travel to job sites
May occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
May spend time at a client site or construction project location which may include exposure to outdoor conditions and outdoor and inside construction site conditions to include climbing of ladders, stairs, scaffolding and be lifted in equipment to heights over 20 feet in the air
