Inventory Clerk

The Purchasing/ Inventory Control Coordinator perform all aspects of purchasing for the company and for managing the inventory, distribution and control of those items. The Coordinator must identify the products that are to be purchased, identify the most appropriate supplier for the products, create P.O's, confirm all deliveries and maintain an inventory control database. The position reports to the Human Resources Manager.


  • Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (POs, 30-50 a day), complete entries into accounting system.

  • Input and maintain excel database of all sku?s and products; maintains daily inventory update

Work with sales team to fulfill orders according to a ticket system

  • Identify the most appropriate supplier for the designated product, determine availability, perform comparative pricing and negotiate pricing, confirm quality of products and establish delivery requirements/timelines.

  • Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts and month end reconciliation process; research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments

  • Conduct records audit of inventory, adjustments and other metrics and prepare monthly/ quarterly/ annual reports of findings to management

Position requires the ability to lift 50lb boxes periodically.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM


Experience in purchasing and inventory control management

Experience and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions

Experience with Excel is a must.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment

Must be detail-oriented

Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium

Basic Accounting Knowledge


Graduation from accredited high school

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,particularly Excel

Must be able to pass a criminal and drug screening

1-3 years of experience in a similar role

Shift and Pay :

Direct Hire Position.

Monday-Friday. 8:00a.m.-4:30 p.m.

No overtime.

$40,000-$55,000 depending upon experience.
