The IT Asset Manager is mainly responsible for the day to day and strategic management of all technology-related assets of the organization. This includes logistical management from deployment to retrieval of assets to incoming and outgoing employees. The position is also accountable for providing recommendations for procurement requirements as it relates to employee needs for IT Hardware and Software. Additionally, the incumbent shall from time to time provide tactical support and actively work to trouble shoot problems related to hardware and software; direct users to appropriate staff for support, development, and training, and escalate end user issues and concerns as required for appropriate and timely resolution.

  • Maintain Asset Inventory for U.S. operations generally.

  • Own the IT procurement process and help drive a cost-efficient approach to IT asset acquisition.

  • Ensure that the appropriate assets are deployed on-time to new hires.

  • Ensure that asset retrieval is triggered as part of the off-boarding process for exiting employees.

  • Maintain up-to-date procurement & asset management documentation, operational guidelines and procedural manuals.

  • Work closely with both the recruitment & operations team to ensure that the appropriate IT hardware is available based on the hiring and deployment plan for U.S. operations.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of system design, operation and procedure manuals.

  • Provide support to the Service Desk Team in coordinating on client outages by attending triage call and working with operations.

  • Assist other teams to initiate, design and manage effective support solutions as determined by our business needs.

  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage or emergency response as needed Other task/s that is/are innately included in the position that the immediate head may assign from time to time.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,Business Management or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Two or more years of service desk experience (hardware, software support & related technologies) and first level of remote in a domain environment are required.

  • Hands on experience in Asset and Logistics Management.

  • Some experience in IT Procurement and Vendor management.

  • Familiarity with ITIL as an asset.

  • A proactive thinker with the ability to anticipate problems, troubleshoot and proactively resolve them.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good customer service, relational & can interact with various people at different levels in the organization.

  • Ability to manage high stress situations calmly and effectively.

  • Strong attention to details and well organized.
