We have the perfect position for you! We're hiring for a 1st shift Machine Operator with great measurement and reading knowledge. This is a temp to hire role in North Kansas City, MO. *Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*- Obtain and review the required paper for the assigned machine - Calculate and pick materials - Obtain and verify tools, measuring and monitoring equipment, and tooling - Set up machine(s)- Produce initial part and complete production run measuring and monitoring process and product as indicated in the work order - Troubleshoot process when out-of-control or if there is a non-conforming product- Control non-conforming products - Package and/or label for next process or finished product if no packager assigned - Move finished product or work in process - Perform clean up and housekeeping *Requirements:*- High school diploma or GED- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervision, and management from all departments routinely- Ability to read and apply documents such as policies, procedures, work instructions, training materials, and safety rules - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; understanding of metric system - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized- Ability to use various measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers as well as hand tools- Awareness and understanding of safe work practices - Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus- Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell- Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
