Acosta Sales & Marketing Space Automation Developer (CPG Programming) in Kansas City, Missouri
Overview
Remote Opportunity for someone who has database management experience retrieving, loading, and transforming information from large databases. Full stack (client & server) development would be nice to have, as well.
As a Space Automation Developer you will create, maintain and evaluate automation tools that support Acosta Space Management Solutions. This includes supporting customer and client-based teams for planogram development and analytics. The ideal Space Automation Developer candidate should be able to identify process inefficiencies, possess programming skills to implement automated solutions, and have an aptitude for learning new technologies.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Provide automation and analytical support for our customer-based space management teams to determine best ways of improving current processes
Work with project-based teams to identify, develop and deploy ad-hoc automation specific to current project needs
Create tables,, scripts and shortcuts to supportdevelopment and maintenance of Best in Class planograms
Partner with Business Managers and other Business Intelligence (BI) associates to develop analytical dashboard and reporting platforms to support sales presentations or customer business issues
Maintain and provide tech support for existing tools and applications created by the Space Automation team
Review and upgrade existing Space Automation tools and applications as business needs and technology changes
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience in the Consumer Package Goods (CPG) Industry, Category Management, or computer programming
Prior work experience in data analysis and relational database platforms and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the technology required to operate and maintain such systems
Demonstrate an advanced degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications, including Microsoft Office applications including VBA
Experience in computer programming and creating code in languages such as C#, C,VB.Net, Java, JavaScript, Python, and/or SQL
Self starter; identify and leverage relevant data to diagnose situations, identify potential solutions and drive results
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IRI and Nielsen preferred
Experience with either JDA Space Planning and Automation, EYC Space Planning and Automation, or Spaceman Suite preferred
