Job Summary:

The Sr IVR/IVA Developer is a top level technical contributor with advanced knowledge and experience in the area of application communications and related hardware/software. Is knowledgeable in a multi-platform operating environment. Maintains high-level technical expertise and study vendor products to determine those that best meet company and/or client needs. Presents information to management which may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment. Participates in the long-term strategic planning to ensure application capacity meets current and future requirements.This includes planning for remote hardware and communications facilities as well as development and implementation of methodology for application analysis, installation, and support. Develops technical standards and interface applications and provides resolution for the most complex application problems. Possesses specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in software administration activities and demonstrate extensive knowledge of the field.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in VUI or conversational design in or around contact centers and/or enterprise virtual assistants

  • Experience collaborating with conversational AI and contact center developers and other relevant team members

  • Fluent in design thinking and conversation design methodology

  • Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and tracking

  • Demonstrable experience designing and/or deploying:

  • VUI / IVR flows for enterprise contact centers

  • Voice and/or text-based conversational flows for virtual agents or virtual assistants

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile delivery methodologies

  • Understanding of natural language technology, the tech stack behind modern conversational experiences, and how to design for current abilities and limitations, preferably Google Dialogue Flow

  • Ability to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills (MS Office, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with mature judgement

Preferred:

  • Experience designing and delivering conversational AI MVPs, pilots, and POCs

  • 1+ years of consulting experience on Contact Center, VUI/IVR, and/or conversational AI projects

  • Demonstrable experience in the Financial Services industry

  • Certification or expertise in at least one of the following platforms:

  • Amazon Lex / Alexa; GCP Dialogflow ES, CX or CCAI; IBM Watson, IPSoft Amelia, Kore.ai, Nuance Nina, Salesforce Einstein

  • Amazon Connect, Genesys, Twilio, NICE inContact, Five9/Inference, 8x8, Avaya, Edify
