Central Power Systems & Services (CPS&S) is the only authorized distributor for Allison Transmissions, Detroit Diesel, MTU and Mercedes engines in Kansas, Missouri and Northern Oklahoma. CPS&S has been serving the Commercial Equipment needs of the lower Midwest region with top quality On-Highway, Industrial and Power Generation products and services since 1954.

What you’ll do:


Provides a proactive, high level of customer service to employees on a variety of issues include the following but not limited to, involving personal computer systems, operating systems, LAN/WAN and application software. This position will be based at our Corporate office in Liberty, MO and will serve as remote support for our 13 external locations in MO, KS, OK, and Las Vegas.


  • Identify and implement new technology to improve the company's bottom line.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot IT issues, recommend configurations of computer systems.

  • Troubleshoot daily application issues.

  • Guide end users through troubleshooting procedures to restore technical service.

  • Maintain an increasing level of proficiency in hardware, software, networking and other technologies supported by our IT department.

  • Create and/or update documentation that benefits end-users and other IT personnel.

  • Participate in company technology projects as needed.

  • Attend and possibly facilitate mandatory training and meetings.

  • Perform other related duties to support the mission and critical success factors of the IT department.

  • Analyze software solutions to update and replace aging systems.

  • Other tasks assigned by Manager.


  • Associates degree, certification, or equivalent work experience in an IT field

  • Windows server 2016 & AD

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to work flexible shift and schedule IF needed

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. WITHOUT sponsorship

  • Self-motivated and customer-centric


  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability to manager multiple customer requests simultaneously

  • Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives

  • Ability to travel up to 5% (other branches)
