Kforce Release Manager in Maryland Heights, Missouri

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Release Manager in Maryland Heights, MO.Responsible for leading and/or supporting the following activities: * Schedule and track application releases using a Release Calendar * Gather and tracking of Business Requirements (BRQs) from stakeholders * Identify the BRQs that require enhancements or changes to the SMDH application * Coordinate the analysis of the BRQs with the SMDH application development team to determine the required scope * Prepare Level of Effort (LOE) and delivery timeline estimation for the identified scope * Lead Release Scrum meetings and facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions * Track and manage the progress of the SMDH development activities to ensure on-time delivery * Track and manage the progress of the SMDH testing activities to ensure issues and defects are being mitigated in a timely manner * Track and ensure End-to-End requirement traceability from BRQs to the enhancements or changes in the delivered releases * Plan, schedule and manage release deployment to all environments using the company's Change/Release Management process * Ensure the required release documents (i.e. Release Notes, Method of Procedure, etc.) are created for each deployment * Track release related Actions, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies & Decisions using a RAID log * Lead escalation and mitigation of risks and issues * Preparation or gathering of Meeting Notes, Deliverables and Documents using tools such as JIRA, CHALK, etc. * Preparation of Weekly Status Updates and Reporting for both internal and external teams * 10 years of experience in leading IT application software releases * 10 years of experience in leading IT application development using Agile SDLC methodology * 10 years of experience in managing IT release delivery using Scrum methodology * 10 years of experience in collaborating with cross functional teams (i.e. technical and non-technical) * 5 years of experience in leading Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions * 5 years of experience in process and workflow development * Understanding of Big Data Technologies and Application Development * Excellent problem solving skills * Effective communications skills (i.e. PPT slide preparation, presentation, training, etc.) * Strong leadership and time management skills * Work experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Outlook, One Note, etc.) Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
