Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Orders team in Physician Development, you will be providing clinicians a quick and safe solution to enter orders into the system. You will be involved in designing and implementing aspects of our solution, you will participate in the definition and review of our overall technical strategy and system requirements. You will be part of an agile team consisting of several Software Engineers, a Solution Designer, and a Test Analyst to implement the functionality that makes the ordering process a robust workflow. Specific tools and technologies used may include: Visual C++, C#, Java, SQL, and among others.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of software engineering work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile development experience

  • Visual C++ and Java development experience

  • Demonstrated experience architecting complex systems, utilizing design patterns, modeling techniques, and great communication skills

  • Automated testing experience

  • Passion for software engineering

  • Passion for continuous improvement

Expectations

  • Must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
