Senior Software Engineer
Cerner’s Revenue Cycle Analytics team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to participate in engineering efforts on the HealtheAnalytics: Revenue Cycle solution with the ultimate goal of providing a relevant and insightful data warehouse that can be used to optimize the management of the Revenue Cycle! In this role, you’ll work with a team in all phases of the software development and support life-cycles creating and optimizing data transformations (ETLs) and platform capabilities. Your experience will enable you to participate in the estimation of effort, create technical designs of smaller scope, provide high level architectural guidance, and develop using best practices that result in highly reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions and platform components.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
At least 3 years of software engineering work experience
Experience mentoring other developers
Experience with code quality and process improvements
Experience with data warehousing and ETL concepts
Experience with Hadoop and/or MapReduce
Experience with MPP databases such as Vertica
Must be residing in or willing to relocate to the Kansas City metro area
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
