Job Description:

The Cloud Identity & Access Management (IAM) development team is responsible for security-related R&D for the next generation of Cerner solutions--web-based applications and services hosted in Cerner's data center. The R&D focuses on leveraging open standards and interoperable technologies (such as Java) to make the architecture of the solutions as agile and adaptable as possible--enabling choices during system deployment and providing the opportunity to lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for Cerner's solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer at with the IAM team, you will be responsible for designing software (primarily in Java and related languages) in order to meet specific requirements. As an important part in the quality of our solutions, you will be asked to participate in peer to peer design/code reviews. Even though this role will be primarily developing new software, you will also be asked to work on bug fixes, testing, documentation, support, and troubleshooting as needed. Cerner is a results-driven company and you will be expected to complete projects according to predetermined deadlines. You will play a lead role in an agile team that works with engineers of varying experience levels.

Specific tools and technologies may include: Chef, Crucible, Git, JAX-RS/Jersey, Jenkins, JIRA, Maven, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, and SCIM, among others. There may also be opportunities to work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and with \"big data\" technologies such as Apache's Hadoop, HBase, and Flume, among others.
