Job Description:

As a Support Technician with Cerner, you will provide routine technical support for desktop, laptop, telecom and network systems including hardware, application software, operating systems and connectivity. You will perform specific hardware and software maintenance, such as upgrades, virus scans, moving systems and documenting changes in partnership with suppliers. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues and document resolution, repair or replace defective equipment with support as needed, install, configure and update end-user desktop and laptop software. You must be able to prioritize and escalate issues and requests, fulfill technical requests from end users or route, and use knowledge transfer forums to identify and resolve problems.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in General Studies or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of operating systems support work experience

  • At least 1 year of office support, call center or phone support work experience

Expectations

  • Must be comfortable working in either Lees Summit, MO or Kansas City, KS.

  • Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
