Description & Requirements
Under moderate supervision, the Release Coordinator will coordinate activities to insure timely and successful software releases. This role develops and maintains release processes and procedures.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Banking/Release knowledge.
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization.Works on moderately complex and diverse projects.Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Able to effectively schedule and carry out releases both within the company and with outside customers.
Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.
Strong knowledge of release processes.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of product development and product enhancements.
Strong knowledge of company products and services.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
Develops and maintains release/PTF processes and procedures.
Works with R&D and documentation departments to create/update release enhancements and documentation.
Creates release calendar and arranges necessary meetings with groups for approval prior to publishing.
Schedules and/or participates in conference calls relating to the release as required.
Participates in alpha testing.
Assists in creating/presenting breakout sessions at JHA User Group Meetings.
Works with Distribution Services to ensure all appropriate fixes are in place for each month’s upgrade.
Works with support departments to schedule staff for upgrade weekends and post support.
Assists with billing related to releases and Distribution Services.
