Laborer positions give you the option to settle into a comfortable job or if desired, move in to a more specialized trade.Laborer positions include pre-assembly or finish work, building windows or doors, working the glue pit, building crates or various other duties essential to the manufacture of quality buildings and modular components.Laborers routinely:Mark reference points on construction materials.Clean equipment or facilities.Install structural components.Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.Move construction or extraction materials to locations where they are neededObtain Informationii Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.Make Decisions and Solve Problemsii Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Basic qualifications include the following:Demonstrated ability to read a tape measure required.Must be able to use various hand tools and power tools including but not limited to drills, chop saw, band saw, reversibles, table saw, radial arm saw. We reserve the right to test your skills at any time during employment.Basic carpentry skills and ability to read detailed drawings preferred but not required.Must be at least 18 years old.Must be able to pass all pre-employment background screenings including a drug test.Must be able to safely lift up to 20 lbs. on a consistent basis and be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.Must be able to work at heights up to 10i.Must be able to climb a ladder repetitively.Must be able to use household cleaners.Must be able to read and write using basic English skills and be able to perform basic math calculations.Perform General Physical Activitiesii Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.Handle and Move Objectsii Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
