As a global business, the projects you lead for Mastercard will deliver software operating at massive scale requiring a focus on performance, security, and reliability.Mastercard is currently looking for an individual with great development skills to help us build the next Mastercard Physical Edge. Youll play a meaningful role in building the next generation services relied upon across Mastercard.Role:As a Software and DevOps Engineer, you will work with our extraordinary team developing and deploying new technologies on a cutting-edge network. You will design, develop and deploy new and innovative technology allowing you to experience the whole life cycle of software development all the way from design to deployment.As a member of the Physical Edge team, you will work closely with other engineers, our Ops and product management to develop applications and tools, designed to enable Mastercard delight our customers.All about you:- Familiarity with Golang, Java, Python, and functional programming languages such as Scala.- Knowledge of common design patterns and OO principles and standard methodologies- Familiarity with pipeline deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab or Bamboo- Experience with any of Ansible, Salt, Chef, Terraform, or Cloudformation- Knowledge of Multi-threading, synchronization and memory management on Linux or Linux-like Operating systems- Comfortable with Linux environment and common tools. Knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to drive interaction with peer developers, product and project managers- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience.- Strong experience with agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM).- modern software development environments as well as with DevOps practicesDue to COVID-19, most of our employees are working from home.
