Citigroup Ops Sup Sr Supervisor in O'Fallon, Missouri

The Ops Sup Sr. Supervisor is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.Conduct training, monitor quality and quantity of team work and provide feedback on performance, including making recommendations on pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc. This position is responsible for serving as the manager of a unit that will be the single point of contact for Correspondent Lenders wanting to sell loans to Citi. As the unit manager you will have staff that has completed Risk Credit Certification requirements. You will be responsible for staff that interfaces with corporate correspondent lenders, clears credit conditions , manages a pipeline to purchase closed loan transactions. Comprehensive knowledge of Agency (FNMA/FHLMC) processing, closing, mortgage origination guidelines, and familiarity with all documents involved in a closed loan. High level understanding of the mortgage business so that the escalated issues can be resolved without direction from Sr. management Strict compliance to all quality metrics both compliance and credit policies failure to do so could result in financial and reputation risk. Position will be part of monthly business review calls with Correspondent Lenders including members of their Sr. Mgt. Will be the point of contact for Lender escalations for credit items prior to sending to Risk Managers. Individual must build and maintain relationships with our external correspondent lenders and internal Sales partners. Must have very strong analytical and problem solving skills. A demonstrated skill in good listening is required to fully manage the staff as well as understanding the needs of external Correspondent Lenders. Must be able to convey a professional approach and demonstrate polished verbal and written communication skills. Responsible for expense control within the unit by actively taking part in the staffing capacity planning process. This includes improving processes for workflow by suggesting improvements/lifts. Qualifications: 2-5 years of related business experience including at least one-year supervisory experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Proactive leadership and motivational skills Proven organization and time management skills Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
