Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Overland, Missouri
The Line Mechanic will be responsible for set ups and maintenance on the production line for manufacturing of home and garden products.
Daily Job Duties Include: *Changeovers and setups on production equipment *Perform adjustments, PMs and repairs on equipment to maximize run time on the line *Will also be responsible for checking quality of product throughout shift
Line Mechanics are looked at to be the sole responsibility owner of their line. This means they will also be responsible for a lot of NON - TECHNICAL responsibilities as well. If the line is running smoothly, they may need to stack boxes, organize the machine area, stock it, or simply "babysit" the line.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified candidates MUST have the following:
*Minimum 2 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environment performing general maintenance and setting up and running machinery and/or packaging lines *Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing packaging equipment *Minimum 2 years experience performing set ups and adjustments on machinery or equipment; running and operating machinery and equipment *Minimum 2 years experience replacing motors and gearboxes *Experience and ability to perform quality checks on machinery and product
*Best candidates will have experience in high volume production lines. *Food and Bev experience translates well; preferred although not required *Basic electrical knowledge and experience is preferred. Example: must be able to unwire/rewire a motor to repair/replace. They will not be expected to troubleshoot the 480v to the machine. - Will be an Electrician on shift to hep with high-level electrical problems.
