SUMMARY

Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to inflator assembly machines. This includes robots, gas systems, assembly machines, and all associated support equipment. Conduct and document machine correction in computerized maintenance system. Use precision testing and measuring equipment to determine root cause. Handle and store chemicals and industrial lubricants by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Recognize and use basic hand tools, fasteners and hardware in proper application. Utilize technical documentation to solve simple machine malfunctions.

Practice basic shop and electrical safety guidelines.

Identify gears, bearings, chains and other basic mechanical components. Conduct alignments and basic mechanical repairs.

Reference the National Electric Code and trouble shoots basic electrical components (ex. switch, fuse)

Troubleshoot basic electronic components (ex. diode, proximity switch).

Replace hydraulic cylinder seals, valves and cylinders. Assembles and installs hydraulic hoses.

Replace pneumatic cylinder seals, valves and cylinders. Assembles and installs air line and fittings.

Troubleshoot simple air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC flow problems and electrical malfunctions.

Perform preventive maintenance, follow critical maintenance protocol, repair robot end of arm tool, repair vacuum systems, repair high pressure gas systems. Understand robot programs and correct simple malfunctions. Understand the machine operation sequence and use PLC logic to correct.

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot proximity switches, repair or replace mechanical components in assembly processes. Understand the machine operation sequence.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Possess ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Possess ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Hazardous material handling certifications required for assigned duties including but not limited to: Hazardous waste operations and emergency response, training required by regulation.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be willing to work and cooperate with multiple personnel from several departments.

Adhere to strict deadlines.

Make basic logical decisions.
