AUS operates from over 200 locations nationwide.This position is designed to train and develop designated employees to advance to a Production Manager position in approximately9-12 months. Primary training will be conducted at the local facility.Additional training will take place at various locations in short intervals (travel and accomodations provided). At times the selected manager may be tasked to provideneededsupport to another location when necessary. Once training iscompleted, candidates MUST BE RELOCATABLEwithin the region/geographical sector of the U.S.in which they were hired. Relocation assistance, salary increase, and bonus eligibility are all provided as part of the promotion to Production Manager.As part of your training, responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:Aiding theProduction Manager in ensuring that all operators are properly trained to operate the equipment in a safe, efficient mannerHelping control costs of material, direct/indirect labor and equipment in accordance to budgetDirecting and supervising the production employeesMaintaining compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws/regulations that affect Market Center operations and safety, while promoting safety policies and awarenessIf in a union facility, aiding in developing an effective management/labor relationshipAssisting Production Manager with performance evaluations for employeesAs needed, taskedinproviding assistance to other industrial plants requiring extra supportQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors Degree is preferredOne year or more of supervisory experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred; 3+ years experience idealMUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE for Production Manager position when training complete and a position comes availablePrevious Budget and Profit and Loss responsibility preferredFamiliarity with OSHA and safety regulationsAbility to work in a veryadverse environment with varying temperatures and conditions seasonallySafely lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessaryRemain standing/walking for extended amounts of time dailySuccessful completion of Criminal Background Checkand Drug ScreenEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
