WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineering/Transportation Intern for our St. Louis office.

This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a DEGREE in CIVIL ENGINEERING within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in PROJECT S under direct supervision of the firm’s leading ENGINEERING professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design using various types of CADD design software

  • Perform basic calculations and functions

  • Assist with field work

  • Document research and field investigation

  • Assist developing and writing reports

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CURRENT standing as a Sophomore/Junior/Senior student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate Program

  • Experience with basic computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook

  • Self-motivated with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship

  • Experience with Microstation, Power Geopak, Open Roads, or Civil 3D

  • Previous Internship and/or coop experience is desired.

  • Familiarity with the AASHTO Green Book and Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
