The Nestlé Purina Support Center manufactures, repairs, inventories and tests the equipment used to make pet products around the world, while protecting the proprietary nature of the fabrication of Nestlé Purina production equipment. The facility utilizes a modern Machine Shop, a Sheet Metal and Welding Fabrication Shop, which have allowed the site to build a sizable spare parts inventory to provide even faster service to NPPC Factories.
As an Expeditor, you will be tasked with assisting other departments in managing incoming parts for welding and machining. In this role, you will communicate low inventory levels or back orders daily with management and the purchasing team. The Expeditor is vital to the success of the factory and is a highly valued member of the team. Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage incoming mechanical purchase orders
Verify Bill of Materials equipment list in Excel and utilize SAP tracking program as needed
Interface with purchasing and design/production
Sort parts by department using blueprints and part codes
Assist the assembly department with organizing, staging, and preassembly of parts
Work with the warehouse department to complete inventory control
Other duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience: 1 + years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
