Quality Control Raw Material Testing at Patheon in Saint Louis, Missouri
How will you make an impact?
The individual will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support Quality Control Lab operations with primary responsibilities being equipment planning and maintenance. This will include qualification, calibration, repair, Change Control processes and PM oversight of laboratory instruments and equipment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; performing PM and calibration work, SAP updates, drafting procedures, leading projects, and other functions such as evaluating instrument data, problem solving, initiating and complete follow through of Change Control and maintaining metrics.
What will you do?
Planning and oversight of lab equipment/instrument PM and calibration work for Quality Control
Coordination with applicable departments for instrument and equipment service contracts and scheduling repairs
SAP updates for lab equipment
Review of calibration and PM data
Oversight of equipment life cycle - From initiation of new equipment (URS, assessments, purchase, IQ/OQ/PQ, etc.) to decommissioning (retirement).
Change Control for equipment- new and current
How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree in a science related field minimally required
5 years of related experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
Working knowledge of cGMP regulations
Experience working in QC Labs
Experience working in SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
Change Control experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown as needed and work within environmental clean rooms
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to use standard computer programs such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
