How will you make an impact?

Implement the Operational Excellence initiatives designed to meet or exceed the key performance indicators such as revenue, EBITA, right-first time (quality), and On-Time Delivery, as well as improving Organizational Health and Culture. You will be responsible for utilizing operational excellence and practical process improvement (PPI) tools to achieve process improvement. This role has direct reports in Saint Louis, MO and Princeton, NJ.

What will you do?

  • Lead, coach and motivate the PPI team to implement effective strategic and tactical continuous improvement initiatives across the Saint Louis and Princeton sites

  • Measure and report on PPI Key Performance Indicators at the sites to the global PPI team and Division leadership; develop effective countermeasures for unfavorable metrics

  • Personally lead high level and high impact cross functional improvement projects

  • Development and implement PPI strategic roadmap for annual priorities and strategic objectives for the team and the sites

  • Deploy PPI Business System across both sites and measure by leading health assessments

  • Develop a robust Project Hopper for the sites to ensure a continuous inventory of projects

  • Report developments of key projects to the Saint Louis and Princeton Site Leadership Team

  • Participate in the BPS (Biologics Pharmaceutical Sciences) Site Leadership Team

  • Become a certified Senior Process Manager by attending training and certified through performing a successful Kaizen; successfully train a colleague to perform a Kaizen

  • Coach, mentor and certify colleagues across the site to become PPI Process Managers

  • Drive culture of the PPI system through both sites by tracking and implementing site colleagues use of the PPI Business System

  • Work closely with the Director of PPI to employ tools across the sites and improve culture

  • Work closely with Finance team to identify and implement savings across both sites; achieve site savings goals

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training Required

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Required

  • Project Management Training Preferred

  • Advanced Lean Training Required

Experience

  • 7+ years of manufacturing or similar industry

  • 7+ years proven experience using Lean, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, PMI Project Management, Danaher Business System, or other similar business system

  • 7+ years of leadership positions or 5+years of a continuous improvement role

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
