We are currently seeking CNC Machinists to join our growing workforce. We have opportunities for 1st shift, 2nd shift, and Weekend Shift. The Weekend Shift offers a unique opportunity to work 36 hours - get paid for 40 hours! You receive 4 extra hours of pay each week! That equates toover 5 weeks(208 hours) of paid time per year! The weekend shift works three 12-hour shifts per week(Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). Overtime is available for all shifts. We offer competitive wages, practice 5S principles for efficiency and effectiveness in the shop, and work in a climate-controlled environment.Job Purpose:Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.Duties:Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications,orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GDandT).Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting toolregisters, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basicmath, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments,collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering tointernational standards.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurlingand thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshootingprocesses; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering toquality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains safe operations by adhering to 5S + 1 safety procedures and regulations.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer'sinstructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities,and continuing needs.Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and differentrequests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Skills/Qualifications:Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills,Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, Good JudgmentWe are a small business located in St. Peters, Missouri that specializes in managing, manufacturing, and assembling complex mechanical and electrical products.
