Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management or engineering required. MBA preferred.
10 years manufacturing / operations leadership experience
Strategic Leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment, knowledge of safety & quality practices
Very resourceful, combining strong manufacturing and technical abilities with good overall management acumen
Prior experience with Lean principles
Demonstrated effectiveness of developing and managing teams
Ability to create followership and lead an organization through significant change and improvement
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
Possesses a high sense of urgency
High degree of credibility to be convincing and persuasive
What You’ll Do
As a Plant Manager, you’ll be part of our Infrastructure team located in Sedalia, MO.
Drive rapid, significant and sustainable improvement in on-time delivery, lot size, lead time and cost reduction
Provide the leadership necessary for the development and execution of a manufacturing strategy
Directly involved in budgeting, forecasting and controlling all manufacturing related costs
Ensures maximum and efficient use of all direct and indirect operations personnel and related manufacturing equipment
Provides vision, performance planning, mentorship, instruction and performance feedback to direct reports
Responsible for the application of methods, production standards and adherence to safety programs.
Ensure key manufacturing metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracked
Monitors plant performance by analyzing current and future demand, cost, efficiency of operations and provides feedback to senior leadership team.
Continually evolve manufacturing efficiency and assess opportunities to reduce cost, taking action to drive financial performance
Coordinates all phases of work on plant projects. Manages them efficiently and cost effectively to enhance profitability.
Participates and help drive employee engagement activities.
Project a positive image to all business partners, the customer we serve, the industry in which we participate and the community in which we live
Oversee coordination of the manufacturing function with sales, marketing, design engineering, and other functional organizations
Continually benchmark best practices and drive use of such across responsible operations
