California Closets Cabinetry/Furniture Installer in St. Charles, Missouri

Job Description: 

California Closets is currently looking for motivated, organized, caring individuals who have a passion to provide outstanding craftsmanship and superior customer service.  The main responsibility of this position is to install California Closets products in a safe, high quality, productive and profitable manner.  The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, client satisfaction, and be able to communicate with clients, and other employees what is necessary in a genuinely friendly and professional manner.  While using provided designs and components, construct, erect, install, and repair custom storage systems and accessories using laminate wood, edge-banding, hardware and other materials, requiring skills with hand tools and power tools.    

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings
  • Utilize company provided CAD drawings\blueprints to properly and efficiently install systems
  • Assemble and install systems of varying complexity
  • Assists in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes
  • Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order
  • Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job
  • Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations at all times
  • Install materials safely and maintain safety standards at all times
  • Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and maintaining company provided vehicles in a safe manner
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager Qualifications:

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with common power and hand tools
  • Trade or vocational school experience a plus
  • Cabinetry experience or carpentry skills a plus
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to provide a high level of customer service
  • Able to work individually and in teams
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Able to lift 50 + pounds and be able to navigate stairs
  • Be able to accurately read and interpret a tape measure in both inches and metric
  • Able to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools
  • Able to consistently determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work We offer:

  • Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
