California Closets Cabinetry/Furniture Installer in St. Charles, Missouri
Job Description:
California Closets is currently looking for motivated, organized, caring individuals who have a passion to provide outstanding craftsmanship and superior customer service. The main responsibility of this position is to install California Closets products in a safe, high quality, productive and profitable manner. The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, client satisfaction, and be able to communicate with clients, and other employees what is necessary in a genuinely friendly and professional manner. While using provided designs and components, construct, erect, install, and repair custom storage systems and accessories using laminate wood, edge-banding, hardware and other materials, requiring skills with hand tools and power tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings
- Utilize company provided CAD drawings\blueprints to properly and efficiently install systems
- Assemble and install systems of varying complexity
- Assists in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes
- Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order
- Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job
- Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations at all times
- Install materials safely and maintain safety standards at all times
- Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and maintaining company provided vehicles in a safe manner
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager Qualifications:
Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with common power and hand tools
- Trade or vocational school experience a plus
- Cabinetry experience or carpentry skills a plus
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Able to provide a high level of customer service
- Able to work individually and in teams
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Able to lift 50 + pounds and be able to navigate stairs
- Be able to accurately read and interpret a tape measure in both inches and metric
- Able to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools
