Position SummaryThis position is a dual position that supports the production department with various responsibilities related to production and receiving. The surface mounts technician part of this position is responsible for overall setup, operation, calibration and maintenance of Masterclocks surface mount pick and place machines. Work includes setup and operation of automatic and semi-automatic stencil printers and mass reflow ovens. This position verifies components are fit for purpose, makes necessary machine adjustments and performs routine maintenance. The materials coordinator part of this position is responsible for receiving, stocking, taking inventory, and issuing parts for various manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining materials organization and inventory accuracy to ensure quality and efficiency of the production flow within the company. In addition, this position supports outbound logistics by packaging and palletizing shipments as required. The production associate is an integral member of the manufacturing team and supports production schedules, engineering prototypes, customer specials and implementation of process controls to meet department goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include:Verifies PCA components and placementPrepares boards for production (stencils, adhering solder paste etc.)Operates SMT machineMonitors inventory levels, initiates purchase of new components, tracks shortagesPerforms continuous machine performance assessments and takes corrective actionsGenerates and maintains documentation on processes and preventative maintenance Receives incoming materialsRoutes materials to stock locations, SMT machine areas, notifies and/or delivers incoming deliveries to other departmentsOrganizes storerooms/ stock shelves and locations for efficiency, access and maintaining quality of materials Performs cycle counts per inventory proceduresReviews work order shortages; Prepare kits/ fills shortages for production as necessarySupports development and adherence to Quality control and compliance systems (ISO, ESD, OSHA etc.) Skills, Experience and Attributes:Ability to interpret and follow process controls; Knowledge of quality standardsDetail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills to coordinate schedules and maximize production efficiencyDetail oriented, strong organization, administration and data entry skillsEffective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multi-taskAbility to use contemporary office tool skills (Email, Excel, MS Word) and systems (MRP, ERP)Forklift skills preferred, but not requiredExperience in a products manufacturing environment preferred but not requiredMasterclock is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
