The Boeing Company Weapons Platform Integration Engineer (Experienced) in St. Charles, Missouri

The Weapons & Missile Systems (WMS) organization in St Charles, Missouri is seeking a Weapons Platform Integration Engineer to support the Platform Integration team. This position is for 1st shift and is responsible for integration of Direct Attack Weapons on various Military Aircraft Platforms. The team is directly responsible for System Integration support and leadership from design through test and fielding.

This position includes the need to support all aspects of hardware/software integration of weapons to platforms including; development of functional-level and detail-level hardware/software requirements,


design for bench test equipment, procedure development and execution for system integration lab testing.

The Weapons Platform Integration Engineer will be expected to successfully integrate Boeing weapon systems to air launch platforms, develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs), software test plans, and perform engineering investigations with regards to aircraft integration issues.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure that the weapons meet their installed performance requirements on air-launch platforms.

Manage the Platform to Weapon Interface Documents and Requirements for duration of program.

Act as primary point of contact for Weapon Customers with regards to Weapon Integration issues/concerns.

Ensure new weapon upgrades/features and software block updates successfully integrate with Aircraft Platforms through lab testing, on-aircraft ground testing, and flight testing events and post-test analysis.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Technical Bachelor's Degree.

At least 3 years of experience with electronic systems engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Previous experience with avionics/weapons integration, design, or test is desired.

Experience writing requirements using Boeing standard tools such as DOORS, ClearCase/git, and ClearQuest.



circuit design using Mentor Graphics tools (or other electrical design toolset).

Experience in process and standards development for hardware/software lifecycle maturity phases.

Prior platform integration experience, knowledge of MIL-STD-1760 and System Integration Lab experience are a plus.

Effective and open communication, teamwork and collaboration skills are highly desired.

Applicant should be comfortable working in a team environment and interfacing with domestic and international customers.

Earned Value Management (EVM) familiarity is desirable.

Experience developing basis of estimates, bill of materials and proposals.
