Bradken Electronic Technician in St. Joseph, Missouri

Our St. Joseph, Missouri location is looking for an experienced Electronic Technician provide electrical services and distribution work to NEC code. You will Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Additionally, you will participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Bradken's Safety Programs, quality, and productivity goals. With your CNC and PLC background, you will troubleshoot and repair: adjustable speed and feed back speed drives, AC/DC drives, PLC's, CNC controls, encoders, feedback scales, machine probes, power supplies, electrical valves and other electronic devices currently in use on the machine tools. With your excellent attention to detail, you will advise supervisors on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. You will work with DC to 480V 3 phase electrical systems and diagnose, assemble, and install relevant equipment and systems. Bringing your demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or foundry setting, you will recommend process improvements to support Bradken’s safety and productivity goals. You will work from heights on ladders, powered platforms, roofs. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will provide solution-oriented and system-specific advice for review and disposition. For the safety of fellow employees, you will assist in keeping work areas clean and clear after any maintenance completed. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Highschool diploma or equivalent required. *5+ years of experience as an Electronic Tech *Blue print reading *Building safety codes and NEC codes *Experienced with DC to 480V 3 phase electrical systems *Able to read and interpret work instructions and requirements/specifications *Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system *Machinery repairs ie; Motors, Gear boxes, controls, etc. *CNC and PLC skills preferred *Work independently with minimum supervision while maintaining appropriate time management. *Track record of resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. *MUST be comfortable with heights and understand Fall Protection Safety practices Why join our team at Bradken? 100 years of knowledge and experience behind us, endless opportunities ahead.
