BUNZL A/P Help Desk in St. Louis, Missouri

The A/P Help Desk employee will provide A/P support to the branches in the field and trouble shoot any issues related to Accounts Payable. This is an entry-level accounting position.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for assistance, via phone or electronically

  • Diagnose and resolve payment issues using available information and resources

  • Advise customers on appropriate action by following standard help desk procedures

  • Maintain log of all help desk interactions to include issues and resolutions

  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention to the Help Desk Supervisor

  • Prepare spreadsheets detailing activity on an account

  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • A minimum of one year of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred

  • A minimum of one year experience in a help desk environment a plus

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes a plus

  • Must have an excellent eye for detail; must have the ability to spot issues quickly and be able to resolve in a timely manner

  • Excellent communication and time management skills; must be able to multitask

  • Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues

  • Must be self motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team

  • Proficient with MS Office software and knowledge of an A/P imaging system preferred
