SSM Health Application Developer Specialist - Sharepoint in St. Louis, Missouri
The specialist provides technical leadership and mentoring of application development teams by leading application architecture decisions including application architecture, SDLC, testing guidelines, software design principles, release management, coding standards and application security guidelines. These application types include web, mobile, desktop, reports, web services and jobs. The Application Architect is also responsible for ensuring all custom built applications meet OWASP ASVS, PCI, HIPAA and other relevant guidelines. This person will be in charge of conducting code reviews and application audits to ensure compliance is maintained. This individual will be responsible for ensuring applications are engineered to be scalable and designed to meet agreed upon SLA requirements. The specialist will act as a champion for SDLC and change control processes for all custom built applications.
Leads application architecture decisions including application architecture, SDLC, testing guidelines, software design principles, release management, coding standards and application security guidelines.
Ensures all custom built applications meet OWASP ASVS, PCI, HIPAA and other relevant guidelines.
Responsible for conducting code reviews and application audits to ensure compliance is maintained.
Responsible for ensuring applications are engineered to be scalable and designed to meet agreed upon SLA requirements.
Acts as a champion for SDLC and change control processes for all custom built applications.
Bachelor’s degree required
10 years of overall application development experience required
A minimum of 5 years architecting and designing complex enterprise applications required
Extensive knowledge in leading both iterative and traditional development lifecycles.
Adept knowledge of Software Design Patterns and Principles.
Adept at performance tuning of applications and databases.
Expert level experience architecting scalable solutions (both vertically and horizontally)
Expert level experience managing version control systems.
Experience managing change control processes
Adept at writing UML including Structural Modeling Diagrams(Classes, Objects, Packages, Deployments, Composite Structures & Components), Behavioral Modeling Diagrams(Activity, Interaction & Use Cases) and Architectural Modeling.
Expert in the following testing methodologies: Black Box, White Box, Unit, Incremental Integration, Integration, Functional, System, End-To-End, Sanity, Regression, Acceptance, Load, Stress, Usability, Install/Uninstall, Recovery, Security, Compatibility, Comparison, Alpha, and Beta.
