KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Software Engineering to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.


  • Primarily reliable for all phases of the system development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the client area's application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms

  • Function as a primary client contact responsible for fulfilling project requirements and coordinate activities with IT management

  • Accountable for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; Establish and analyze staffing requirements within guidelines and help implement projects consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards

  • Develop and execute a platform roadmap for existing platforms including technology upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution

  • Consult with functional management in the analysis of short and long range business requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements, hardware and software on the client area(s) applications and systems

  • Perform Performance Management Leadership (PML) duties, as assigned


  • Minimum eight years of experience in an IT environment with experience managing and supporting projects

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Experience defining platform roadmap, delivery, and operations for messaging and integration platforms and tools including experience with integration architecture and related security, authentication and authorization patterns, and API Management

  • Ability to review integration patterns, tools and platform configurations for continuous improvement of the platform, recommending best practices and guidelines for each and designing for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, active/active configurations in diverse geo locations or cloud hybrid environments

  • Knowledge of identity management including user authentication industry standards, certificate management, and networking topologies and experience with one or more IBM tools MQ, IIB, DataPower and APIConnect is required

  • US Citizenship required
