IBM Business Process Solution Architect in St Louis, Missouri
Introduction
As an IBM Business Process Solution Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Business Process Solution Architect will be responsible for creating Technology Fit for Purpose guidance, assessing new technologies and providing education and use cases to exploit Extreme Automation Technologies. Achieve this by investigating, analyzing, and setting up prototypes, overseeing vendor 'Bake-Offs'.
Description of Duties:
Create and maintain technical solution documentation
Design automation solutions that leverage intelligent automation (RPA + AI) tools, databases, communications, APIs, etc., while leveraging best practices and maintain technical responsibility for project delivery
Design new processes/tasks/objects using core architecture designs that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
Support existing processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
Mentor geographically dispersed colleagues through education sessions sharing knowledge on how to leverage new technologies
Participate in problem-solve issues that arise in the day-to-day running of automation processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required
Work within project planning constraints, communicate any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager, and provide inputs to the change control process
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in a closely-related field to technology and significant industry experience of 5+ years
2-5 years of experience with automation technologies including RPA, AI, machine learning, and related capabilities (e.g. document capture, workflow, orchestration)
Solid understanding of innovation, automation and alliances and how they can create value for our business, and our clients
Exceptional communication skills and a consultative approach in addressing a large matrix environment
Technical understanding & ability to speak to the complete IT landscape regarding Systems, Applications, Database, Networking, Physical & Cloud Architecture
Experience gathering, digesting and communicating findings from multiple sources
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Certification in at least one of the major RPA tools (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath)
