Cigna Client Optimization Intern- Express Scripts in St. Louis, Missouri

Where You’ll Work

Our Client Optimization Team is looking for its next Intern! As an intern, you will collaborate with and support the team's efforts in areas such as reporting, client access, process improvements, issue management, new client and product implementations and more!

About the Department: The Client Optimization team is responsible for the implementation of all new ESI clients as well as providing service support for existing clients. Service support examples include implementing new products and assisting in areas of client access, reporting, communications, technical file feeds, issue management, testing, service delivery for mail and contact center, and managing large cross functional initiatives.

During the 12-week summer internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business while learning from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus.

Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks summer 2021.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in identifying and managing process optimization/improvement opportunities

  • Manage special project requests

  • Provide support in areas of standard reporting, system access procurement, issue management resolution, new product implementation, and other service support related tasks


  • Must be currently enrolled in an Bachelors program with a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Strong interest in project management and process improvement

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be as flexible as needed

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically to find new solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong ability to multitask and take initiative

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
